Japan

Zuiikin English

Last year I worked on a project for a well known Japanese communication corporation. The project required an in-depth understanding of Japanese consumer culture. Being born and raised in white bread USA this required a lot of research. In lieu of an actual trip to Japan (because of budget constraints) I decided to spend a week of cultural immersion through the internet. Basically spent every waking moment watching youtube, following posts related to the topic, and eating Japanese takeout and purchasing other peoples data on the subject.
True the internet is not an accurate indication of average life... anywhere but it was something. I had no idea the weird junk I'd find. Here are just a few of the gems I'm willing to admit I found. There is some weird junk out there. This video, as funny as it is, isn't a joke. There are well over 30 such videos on Youtube alone. Somebody apparently made enough money off these language videos to have made quite a few of them.
In the quest for the most important phrases to know when traveling to the USA we have:
"I have a bad case of diarrhea.", "I was robbed by two men." and "Spare me my life"
